BattleBots
(largest televised robotic combat competition)
Cofounder, Mechanical Engineer, Sponsorship Coordinator
Engineered combat robots and demonstrated critical decision-making as a secondary robot driver. Secured $60k in sponsorships by sending 200+ emails; Scheduled 10+ in-person meetings. Worked with domestic and international manufacturers to customize robot parts and negotiate costs. Organized open house at Rolling Robotics featuring interactive activities to foster STEM interests in youth. Managed inventory for Battlebots Riptide eBay store, designing and producing team apparel.
Hybrid Fuel Research and Development (California State University Long Beach)
Investigated various fuel types, focusing on paraffin-based hybrid fuels. Conducted tensile strength tests to capture detailed, stable recordings of paraffin solid fuel for analysis. Engineered new mold presser and bracket to facilitate the compression of paraffin fuel. Explored different factors that address paraffin rigidity and density, drawing conclusions about the optimal conditions for paraffin solid fuel making process.
IRVINE 03 CUBESAT
Selected for the NASA CubeSat Launch Initiative among 34 nationwide high school teams. Assisted in the development of navigation and guidance software for the IRVINE03 project. Assembled and tested CubeSat camera module using commercial components. Organized and purchased components for leaching and testing. Trained 20+ members on skills including programming and breadboard circuit building. Contacted potential sponsors and acquired $500 sponsorship from local tutoring organizations.
